The eco-design industry is rapidly emerging as one of the most exciting and promising sectors for consumer products. Visionary designers and entrepreneurs are steadily creating new products that appeal to both consumers’ tastes and values.

Because the industry is young and not fully established, it can be hard to find these companies and their products. That’s why Vivavi was created – to make it easy for all of us to find environmentally focused companies whose products appeal to us for their style, quality, and reduced environmental impact.


How do my purchases on your website support a green economy?

Increase the spread of products that create a cleaner, healthier environment and diminish our reliance on non-renewable natural resources for manufacturing.


Directly support the companies who are creating the eco-design economy. Want a job that pays you well for doing work you believe in? As the companies whose products we carry increase their sales, they require and are able to hire more people into full-time jobs.


Alert corporate America in just about the only language that it truly hears and responds to - i.e. reduced revenues - that old, routine ways of doing business are outdated and no longer acceptable.

Where else can I find well-designed, contemporary products that are environmentally friendly?

Truthfully, we don’t know. That’s why we started this business. We felt it was important to bring these types of products together in one location so consumers could easily find them.

Whose idea was Vivavi and how long have you been in business?

Vivavi was founded by Josh Dorfman in 2003. At the time, Josh was in a doctoral program at George Washington University focusing on globalization and the politics of sustainability. His frustration with theory led him to search for more concrete ways to align his own interests in sustainable development with something that would be fun and meaningful. After some deliberation, he eventually left the program early to start Vivavi.




How much do you charge for shipping?

We're continually striving to reduce shipping costs so that your dollars are spent more effectively and in support of the eco-design economy. That's why we recently lowered our shipping charges to just $5 on all purchases of up to $150. Shipping charges for purchases above that amount have been reduced significantly as well. How do you ship products and how quickly will you fill my order?

Almost all of the products we ship come directly from our warehouse via either USPS or UPS. In a few instances, we contract with our vendors to ship directly to our customers. This helps reduce costs (savings that we pass along to the customer) and enables us to offer a wider product selection. Unless otherwise noted, please allow 7-14 days for your products to arrive.


What happens if I don't like what I bought or it doesn't fit right?

Return it. We guarantee all of our products for the first 30 days after you receive them. Learn more about our returns policy.


What employment opportunities do you offer?

We’re presently accepting applications for fall and spring interns. Both undergraduate and graduate internships are available in marketing. Interested
